Whether you are new to pool, a pro level player, or anything in between.  Forest City Billiards is the place to be.  We also have darts, table tennis, foosball and arcade games if pool is not your thing.  Or just looking for a spot to hang out, we have multiple TVs for you to watch any game while you enjoy a bite to eat from our great menu or an ice cold drink from our bar.  

The name may have changed a few times over the years.  But Maines oldest and largest pool hall is still thriving and focusing on bringing bigger and better things to pool community that calls it home.

Starting out in 1988 as Spot Shots Billiards on the ground level of Union Station in Portland.  Spot Shots became one of the 3 primary locations to host the Maine State Championships.  It gained reputation as one of the spots to go if looking to for the best competition and great action.  Spot Shots moved its location to the basement of the same plaza in 1994.  In 1995 it was the host location for the World 14:1 Championship that had Efren Reyes and Earl Stickland battling it out in the finals.

From 2007 to 2020 it changed ownership and names becoming Union Station Billiards.  Becoming known as a music venue just as much as a pool hall.  While still hosting State Championships, multiple leagues, weekly tournaments, and other pro level events.  

2020 under new ownership it became American Pool & Billiards.  Getting away from the music scene and bringing in Snooker and Carom.  Keeping in tradition with all the pool events the location had been known for though the years.

2024 - present.  Forest City Billiards.  Still keeping with all the great events the players and community have grown to enjoy over the years while updating everything and bringing in new events.  Forest City Billiards has become the host location for multiple pro level events including the Joss Tour, Battle in the Basement, Queen of the Slate, and the Maine State 9 Ball Open
